On the bright side, I didn't go to school today and someone PAID for me to eat at Treebeards for lunch with two of my best friends.
IDK if I wrote an entry about it, but I saw Ok Go in concert last weekend, and it was good.
ALSO, I took the AP United States Government exam yesterday and I know I did extremely well on it. We're talking probly 5, baby.
Hey, with one week or so left of school, I'm fine with all this - But I have to go play my Gibson SG right now, so rock on everyone!

I just got home from the SAT subject tests and I'm feeling rather mixed. The SAT US History was pretty easy and I didnt have any big problems with it. I'm pretty sure I got above 750. The problem is that the English Literature test was extremely difficult.

How was Prom?

12:58 am - You belong with me. Not swallowed in the sea.
Tonight was really a pretty fun day. I feel like I did so much and so very little at the same time.
I was a loser and slept until my dad woke me up really suddenly and told me to get dressed for my cousings wedding really quickly. And I thought it was really gona kinda suck, but it was ok. I don't really get to see my family all that much, but it was nice.

Then I went home to watch Memento, which I give many props. Its really a great movie, very confusing, but very enjoyable. I kinda fell asleep while watching it too because I was pretty tired. I dont recommend that as much but it was cool.

The craziest part of the night was when I met Mike, Robin, and Allie at Tinseltown and we pretty much just drove around to random places like the Waterwall just to waste time. And Kinschuch came up somewhere in there somewhere. And somewhere in there Bill, Allies stoner teacher too. And Allie was kinda funny because she liked my hair.

Then I bought Red Bull and it kinda fucked me up cus now Im all jittery. But mike bought some other energy drink and I had some of that too. And we bought Ice Cream with Lisa at the Chocolate Bar.

But one cool thing was Mike and I were at Tinseltown with nothing to do.

So we watched Firewall.

And I got home at 12.

And thats the story of everything.

By the way, I am a god at finding directions.
Is that an overstatement?
Probably not.

Well the Red Bull is wearing off.
That is all.

5:38 pm - Class Selection
I was hoping to write a better update, but I'm trying to figure out the classes I'm going to take next year.
So far, it looks like I'm going to be prettty busy.

1. AC World (European) History (1.0)
2. AP English (1.0)
3. AC Physics (1.0)
- or Regular Physics (1.0) and AP Statistics (1.0) if I don't get into AC Physics
4. Calculus (1.0)
5. Art History (0.5)
6. Theology Electives:
- Christianity and Contemporary U.S. Culture (0.5) or Science, Humans, and the Existance of God (0.5)
- Justice in Action (0.5) or Augustine and Aquinas (0.5)
7. 1 Semester Free Period
8. Journalism (0.5)
9. Cross Country P.E. (0.5)
10. Senior Project (0.5)

I really hope I get into AC Physics. If I get in, then I'm going to take it easIER and get 3 semesters of free periods. I hope I'm not just making a big mistake.

6:16 pm - Steve Miller Band is muy bueno

Whatever.

But Mike.
The Computer Agrees.

Oh and I actually feel kinda mixed right now.

I feel kind of accomplished right now. Before Thanksgiving I was working really hard. And it seems as if the work is helping a LOT. My grades are starting to pick up all over the place.
And I went to my Eye Doctor. And he flipped out. In a good way. He said the surgery was really sucessful and that my eyes are going to be really REALLY improved.
So that makes it okay even though he said they're going to be really sore and painful for the next week or two.
I dont like that they look really bloodshot. AT ALL.

What I dont like is that I feel kinda torn between friends.
And I kinda felt really lonely and bad.
Ok Im actually exaggerating.
But I dont like Kevin and Robin fighting because that just makes me SAD.
Other than that I kinda feel kinda other people are just being not cool either.
I dont know.

Today was pretty cool. No school, and we ran at the District meet. It was so freaking cold for my race, but I got 11:17 for a two-mile, and that's the fastest I've ever run it before. Too bad since I was on the extra's team my season's over, but maybe I can break 11 minutes in track season. Other than that, we had a monster spit ball fight and ate at Sweet Mesquite or something like that. We got back to Strake 6th period and played this crazy football game. Unfortunately, my team lost like 59-7 or something, and I learned I have really really poor eye hand coordination. but made some cool plays. Oh well. I think I'm going to take a nap and go to the football game with Kevin, Robin, Lisa, and Mike. Go Strake! beat Elsik! And for everyone else, have a good weekend!

current mood: happy

Today I felt so out-of-it, not that I had insane amounts of work I had to do. I had three periods. Wait. Two.
I'm not going to count Spanish because it was naptime. Ms.Riojas gave us a study hall.

Then I had a lovely conversation with Colin Chambers and Will Rose and I think Ben Morey. They gave me advice: Drink lots of water and stay hydrated or else you will kidney stones. And from what I heard kidney stones suck. Therefore, I might drink more now. So maybe Lisa/Mad-dog's entry about the New Orleans girl (that said to drink stuff) has a point.

I don't know why, but sometime within the next period, I got kind of melancholic for some reason. I can't really tell why. I just felt sad. In fact most of the day I felt kind of down. It's probly because my once extremely high grades have fallen a bit. Don't worry though, my grades should increase all over the place after Cross Country is up .... IN EXACTLY ONE WEEK! And I don't go to school next Friday.

Fast forward through lunch: Bought my senior ring. I don't know if I really need or want one. Maybe it is for the best. After all, its not like a hamburger or something that goes just like that. A ring lasts ... a really-really-really long time?

Basically after that, I pretty much sucked in my race. Fuck, that race was the worst ever. It was supposedly a 5-k, but it was WAY longer, really fucking dry, and MUY CALIENTE. And my time sucked. And whats worse was I was kicked off J.V.- again. Which means I'm in deep-running-shit. Not to mention I'm a no-pointer for the district meet. Fuck. It probly means I'm not going to letter either.

I felt a little happier earlier, but just by writing this, I feel a LOT worse.

And I'm probably going to go to the St. Agnes play Sunday night. Auzenne's giving us extra credit I think. Come with! I wonder if Allison is giving cookies to people who come this year too? Oh well. I don't trust her cooking anyways.

Take it easy, yo.

We have Late Start on Monday? Es Possible?

So Homecoming was definitely the bomb. And so was this weekend. Probably the best weekend I've had in a LONG time. Since I like my bullet form entries, here's the highlights:

1. Lai Lai's with Blair, Matt, and Mer, DURING the football games, and then walking in the Jesuit woods really late at night. Sesame chicken v. General Tso... its all good! Maybe if Blair rings her bell, we won't all get raped?

2. 18:07 3-mile time at Strake's race. I don't know if this is good or bad, but I have approximately 12 days of Cross Country left.

3. Mike picking me up and swerving all over the freeway.

4. Bennigan's where Allison was just a little bit late. We all love you.

5. Drinking Coca-cola at the dance was a dissapointment after 3-4 months of abstinence

6. The dance. and Mike's attempt at a handstand. and Blur was pretty much the funnerest date ever.

7. Totally kicking Kevin's ass (and jumping on his back), after his attempts to sexually molest me.

8. Meeting a ton of people, that unfortunately I will probably forget in the next day or two.

Doesn't it suck that after Homecoming comes the Home-work....

We really have late start?

I just got back from Taco C with Colin Chambers, Will Rose, and Ben Morey. They're all pretty cool people. Today's been pretty cool overall too. I ran Varsity at the Bellaire meet and it was crazy. I got a 18:12 3-mile, the first mile of which was 5:36. I really wanna do well next week at our Home meet on campus. So many people are running there, St. Agnes, and even my brother.

I have soo much homework I might just go crazy and skip school. Theology is pissing me off ... And people wonder why indians massacred the fuck out of priests ...
Why can't the cool priests make the poor ones take a chill pill?

On the other hand, Homecoming is in exactly one week. I still dunno what I'm gonna wear but I'm kinda excited.

I should take a shower ... but I just want to take a nap ... but I'm probly just gonna play guitar forever.

Oh yea is anyone going to the Strake Football game today? At hastings? We should win by the way.

Adios. Spanish is cool and so is Ms. Riojas.

And then I took this quiz. )

So the last couple days have been kinda interresting/cool.

1. I get kicked off the good cross country team and put on the bad one. But I'm running like 24/7 now.

2. I'm going to Strake Homecoming .... with Blair!

3. My brother's running Cross Country

4. I'm doing really well in school now. Tons of A's. Maybe even above 4.0 right now.

5. Robin, Mike, Lisa, and I might go have an "Anti- St. Thomas day." Call me if you wanna go.

6. Next weekend is Strake's Hurricane Katrina Relief Concert featuring Cranial Flux, Paul Khourey's Band, and Richard's band is gonna play too! Its gonna be Great ... Everyone should come.

7. Lastly, I found this on the internet. You are probly going to hell if you do not read it. Its actually pretty funny.

current music: None right now but I reall like Phish.

I just finished watching About Shmidt.
Such a good movie...
And then I ran 5 or 6 miles until I decided it was unsafe to run anymore (because I have to wake up to go running again at 7am. Today was a bad race for me. Very Bad. 66th place overall, down from 9th the week before. Id like to blame it on a sore throat, but the real problem is I wasnt mentally there this week. Oh well. I know I will do better next week.

Wow um I dont mean to be Johnny raincloud here, but yesterday sucked.
That is such a badass saying.

I woke up two hours early, got locked out of my room, fell asleep in a chapel. My phone died in the middle of mass and made this gay noise and it was embaressing. I had to walk home, and then I learn a cousin of mine died.
Well more like my second cousin, and I wasn't that close to him, but it still kinda sucked.

I skipped Cross Country. I think im gonna get an extra run in tomorrow morning to make up for it.

At least I have Late Start to love me.

I guess todays better. It was my brothers birthday. and I thought I would get hella wasted with some of my Puerto Rican relatives on the South side. But we just drank milk and ate cheesecake. I hate funerals.

I havent run in two days. I feel sick.

I bet tomorrow will be cool.

11:24 pm - Un Dia Muy Bueno
When you wake up next to a smelly freshman, you'd think it was going to be a bad day. Quite the contrary. The first cool thing was, since I was in a hotel near Kileen, (next to Austin), I didn't go to school. Combine this with the fact that Strake won ALL divisions of the Cross country races, and I won 9th place in a race of 86 people, it was turning quite nice. Bad news hit again. All XC guys were going tailgating before the game, but Dean wouldnt let us cook anyhting bc he was afraid we would burn down the stadium before the game. So, we just painted up. Althought the entire Varsity Cross country team got painted I wish I didn't now. It gets really itchy when theres a total of like 3 gallons of paint on your skin. Did someone say green sweat because I just heard "not cool". Sticky. St. Thomas people were cool with me. They only tried to start soemthing when Blair left. Skittles! Yea so its too late adn im gonna go to bed. and when I get a chance Im gonna respond to Robins tagging of myself earlier.
